Nasi Goreng Pattaya Recipe (Pattaya Fried Rice)

Nasi Goreng Pattaya or known as Nasi Pattaya by many Malaysian is amongst the popular selection in Malay restaurants or stalls in Malaysia. The dish is simply chicken or prawn fried rice that covered or wrapped with omelet (Telur Dadar) and served with chili sauce and chicken soup (optional). The name makes me wonder if the dish was originally from Pattaya, Thailand.

So, I did a research on Nasi Pattaya and amazingly found another dish that exactly the same called Omurice. Omurice or also known as Omelet Rice is a one of popular dish in Japan. I am confused. Anyone have any idea who should get the credit?
