Prawns Curry Recipe 
Well hello there and welcome back to our blog. A week Aidilfitri off was so nice and joyful. We had a very wonderful time with families and friends and now are back fresh with great ideas (only me i suppose). I’ve been driving up and down the country for Hari Raya dishes (fun but it was tiring) and it’s time for me (us) to be back to our normal mode again. What’s normal? sharing recipes and restaurant reviews that's it! We have been to two restaurants in Selangor during the Hari Raya and I will share its later. But now I will share about an awesome Prawns Curry recipe below.

Simple but tasty! Yes, I believe I've produced a bowl of delicious Prawns Curry. The recipe was copied from Simpe Fish Curry post. Awesome, the only thing that you need to do here is, to replace fish with prawns. You will be experiencing a different taste of curry because of the prawns. Maybe, because of  the sweetness that came out of the prawns.

So to try my Prawns Curry, just follow the recipe and instruction below;


1/4 kg of prawns

5 Cloves of shallots* - pounded
2 Cloves of Garlic* - pounded
1 Inch of Ginger* - pounded
4 tablespoons of Curry Powder
1/2 teaspoon of Sweet Cumin*
1/2 teaspoon of Cumin*
A cup of Tamarind juice
2 Tomatoes -sliced
Salt to taste

How to:

First, In mortar & pestle or food processor, grind the asterisk (*) ingredients above into fine paste. Mix ground paste with curry powder(add some water), Cardamom and Star Anise. Heat up cooking oil in a bowl and fry the mixture until fragrant(2-3 minutes). Add water. Stir to boil and add prawns. Add tamarind juice and reduce heat to simmer. Finally add tomatoes and salt to taste.
