Crispy Prawn Tempura Recipe

Crispy Prawn Tempura
Prawn Tempura

Yep, another prawn recipe and this time is a simple Crispy Prawn Tempura. I love to eat tempura and the secret for crispy tempura is to deep fry in hot temperature and not to fry all in one go. The recipe is so simple and easy to be prepared. It only took me about 15 minutes to prepare the dish. The Prawn Tempura is best to be eaten while it still hot.

Prawn tempura or also known as 'Udang Goreng Tepung' is one of the popular dish in Malaysia. You can easily find the dish in any seafood restaurants. However, prawn dishes might be expensive, so why not to try this yourself at home. After all, it is simple and easy.

When it comes to seafoods, I always prefer it to be easy and simple. This is because, overpower and overcook seafoods will reduce the seafood original taste. Honestly, if you add lime and provided your seafoods are fresh, nothing could go wrong to your recipe.

So, if you are a busy person and only have limited time in your kitchen, I would suggest you to try this out. Please also try my other prawn recipes such as Prawn Curry, Garlic Prawn and Grilled Prawn. Enjoy!

Ingrediants:

1/2 kg medium size prawns
2 tbs corn flour
1 tbs wheatflour
Salt and pepper

How To:
Wash the prawns, take out the top head parts. Marinate it with salt and pepper. Mix corn flour and wheat flour in a bowl and a pinch of salt. Coat the marinated prawns with the mixed flours and deep fry in a very hot cooking oil for about 2-3 mins. Then lift it up and toss it using a paper towel. Place it on a nice plate and serve while hot together with Sweet Thai sauce.
